A2 Corporation owns and commercialises intellectual property relating to the production and marketing of a2 Milk™. A2 Corporation produces and markets a2 Milk™ through strategic partnerships around the world.
What is a2 Milk™?
a2 Milk™ is cows’ milk with a naturally maximised content of a protein called A2 beta casein.
The type of beta casein that a cow produces in her milk depends on her genetic make-up, with a range of frequencies shown by the alleles between breeds. A2 Corporation has a simple DNA test that can identify cows which produce a2 Milk™, and they are encouraging dairy farmers in New Zealand to keep herds that produce only a2 Milk™.
Benefits of a2 Milk™
Scientific studies have suggested that a2 milk™ has some health benefits and may help lower the incidence of Type 1 diabetes and coronary heart disease.
