New Zealand Seafood Industry Council
Activities: Consultation, coordination, advice, information and education.
The New Zealand Seafood Industry Council (SeaFIC) promotes the interests of the seafood industry, including fishermen, harvesters, the aquaculture sector, processors, retailers and exporters.
SeaFIC provides economic, scientific and policy information and advice on fisheries management policy and practice to central and local Government, and supports the growth of the seafood industry. SeaFIC co-ordinates industry resources, and provides communications and information about the industry. Underpinning SeaFIC’s activities is the commitment to sustainable development and the protection of New Zealand’s marine resources.
