Nutrigenomics New Zealand
Activities: Research, development and collaboration.
Nutrigenomics New Zealand (NuNZ) is researching how foods and food components interact with human genes to affect health. The goal is to develop foods that can be matched to individual human genotypes in order to improve health and well being. The initial focus for the research is gut health, in particular Crohn’s disease.
NuNZ is a strategic collaboration between AgResearch, University of Auckland, HortResearch and Crop & Food Research. These four organisations have expertise in food, food components and gut health.
